Kristina Woo is a nasty woman who likes long walks on the beach, saying yes to life, and carries a notebook on her at all times. After graduating with a BFA from the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2008, she worked for John Sloss at Cinetic Media in New York on his independent film sales and distribution teams. During her time there, they sold films like Before Midnight, Safety Not Guaranteed, Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry, Pussy Riot and A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, and distributed Exit Through the Gift Shop, Senna and Escape from Tomorrow. She now splits her time between New York and Los Angeles working as the Writers Assistant on the Showtime show The Affair. She was the Showrunner's Assistant the season prior. She has also previously worked at Paramount Pictures, the Independent Filmmaker Project and Sikelia Productions. She's currently writing a single camera comedy pilot about how terrible it is to date in NYC.
Nyree Emory is a multi-award winning Writer/Producer/Editor (Preditor) for Creative Marketing at HBO, with over fifteen years of experience in television production. She's worked on a wide range of HBO programming. Most recent promotional campaigns include iconic titles Game Of Thrones, Sesame Street & most recently, Insecure.
Sofia Geld is a Brazilian filmmaker based in Brooklyn. She received her B.A. in anthropology from Bard College, and has since been working in the field of documentary film. Sofia was Associate Producer on the hybrid documentary ELENA directed by Petra Costa. She was the outreach producer for Pamela Yates' Rebel Citizen and Mother Tongue as well. She was selected to be a UnionDocs Collaborative Studios fellow, and collaborated with 8 artists on producing and directing 8 short films. Sofia directed and produced HUSH, a personal documentary dealing with themes of disability and hearing loss. She is currently co-directing the feature length documentary BEBA while working as a freelance editor and producer. She is the director of the brooklyn based film series BK@24FPS: Human Rights Through a Different Lens.
Sally Tran is a former fashion-designer who loves bright colors, bold patterns, and intricate designs. Arriving by way of Viet Nam and New Zealand, she began her directing career in New York with a music video for Fool’s Gold and ads for Kotex, Smile Train, and Cartoon Network. Sally recently finished her first feature “Timeslow” as well as a TV show in Viet Nam called “Alooh Games”.
